AboutPoland #1 Funny regulations
Today i've prepared for you some funny regulations from my country. Lists of such regulations are very popular about american law, so i decided to make my own list from Poland.
1. When you commit a theft - your penatly depends on the stolen goods value.
If you will steal a coffee express and it will be worth at least 440 PLN (approximately 117$), you commit a felony and then - maximum penalty for stealing is five years in prison.
However, if the coffee express was on sale and it costed this day only 430 PLN, then it’s just an offence and your maximum penalty can be up to 30 days in custody, community service or just a fine.
2. Bulletproof vest is a weapon
If you would like to buy a bulletproof vest to protect yourself - you can’t! Bulletproof vest is treated in Poland as a weapon and you need a permit.
3. Foreign bookmakers and casino online are forbidden!
In Poland you can play legally at the bookmaker only if company has a special permit. In practice it means that only few registered in Poland companies can be your bookie. It’s almost a monopoly, isn’t it?
Penalty for playing at the illegals bookies is up to 3 years in prison, fine and returning 100% of your winnings.
What’s more - polish bookies can’t offer you an online casino.
4. Life with a swarm of bees
In polish law if your swarm of bees fled, you can can chase them even with trespassing on someones land. However, if swarm is away for more then 3 days - it loses it’s owner and becomes ownerless.
5. Numbers on the door
It is required by law to have a apartment number on your door. If you forget about it - you can get a fine.
There are some mistakes in your article:
It's 1/4 of minimal wage so now it's 500 zł.
You need a permit but it's not counted as weapon.
You can book online at Polish legal bookies.
You can trespass on someone land but only if you repair all the loses later.
Every building must have a number. Not apartment.

Thank you for the follow-up. Next time i will check twice such things :)
Unfortunately it's the truth. The law is what it is, fortunately not everything is enforced as it should be
