US EMBASSY Manila INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
This my wife's account of what happened during her 2014 Visa/US interview in Manila, Philippines.
I woke up at around 4:00 AM and started getting ready. Later I spoke my fiancé and kids while my daughter was getting ready. Around 6:15 AM I said a prayer, then went straight to US Embassy.
When we arrived there was already a long Line. I looked for a guard.
Me: "Guard which line is for K1/K2 Visa applicants?"
Guard: "Line 5 ma'am"
We waited until it was our turn with the DS160 Confirmation and Appointment Letter in hand.
7:00 USEM staff got our Passports and put it in Ziploc and said Enter Immigrant/Non-Immigrant door, then through the security check.
Went out the door and stood in line at the ticket booth for our number. She gave us #6080 and said Enter Door 2.
Security check again and the USEM staff said "Ma'am give me your confirmation letter. I will drop it off at window 39. Just take your seat and wait your number to flash on the screen. While waiting, please have your requirements out and ready".
A little past 8 am my number flashes on the screen, and off to window 42 we go.
Step #1 - American Consul: Biometrics
American Consul: "What is your name?"
American Consul: "What is your birthdate?"
American Consul: "Who is Your Petitioner?"
I answer his questions.
American Consul: "Ok, put your four fingers in the green light, then your two thumbs"
I followed his directions.
American Consul: "Next your sister"
Me: "Sir she's my Daughter"
American Consul: "I know (laughing) I'm just kidding. Ok, What is your Name? (Directed to my daughter)"
American Consul: "What is your birthdate?"
My daughter answers his questions.
American Consul: "You are 13 and turning 14 this year. Um, we are not allowed fingerprinting for kids. Mam, we are done here please go back and have a seat and wait for your number to be called"
We waited for hours. Earlier I made two new friends, Rachelle and Rowena. They both completed step #2, and Rachelle finished step #3! But I haven't even gone to step #2. I was scared!
In my nervousness, I keep mentioning to my daughter that there must be something wrong with our paperwork! "What's wrong with our papers? why haven't they called us yet?"
I remembered the words of my honey, to just relax and think positive, I threw in a quick prayer.
By now it was past 10 am my number flash window 46. "Ok, here we go!" I thought to myself.

Me: "I did not have my fiancé's 2013 ITR and W2, I only had 2012 information. I explained to him that fiancée hadn't filed his 2013 taxes yet, he filed for an extension. I gave him what I had along with an explanation letter from my fiancée."
Philippine Consul: "What's the job of your Fiancé?"
Philippine Consul: "How much he earn?"
Philippine Consul: "You have proof of his salary?"

Philippine Consul: "Where did you meet your Fiancé and How?"
Philippine Consul: "So you met him a long time ago."
Philippine Consul: "Do you have kids? How many?"
I answered accordingly to each question.
Philippine Consul: "Ok give me the photocopy of their passports I'll show the consul that they are US citizens. I got what I need and you may take your seat and wait.
