Prayer to Amida Buddha (Amida-Tattva of Sri Bhagavan) by K. A. Watson

Om Namo Amida Bhagavate

Sometimes you appear as my counselor. Sometimes you appear as my lover and well-wishing friend. Sometimes you appear as a Bodhisattva. Sometimes you appear as the boundless source of all Bodhisattvas. Oh Krishna! To have even the smallest knowledge of you is the greatest wealth!

You are so full of opulence and mercy that at times (I'm afraid) it seems almost needless! You give so much of your energy to saving and caring for the conditioned Jiva souls and yet you are never engaged in any sort of activity. Indeed your transcendental nature has never been engaged. With a single drop of your potency you create, maintain, and destroy whole universes.

You are the Lotus Flower- but too-- The Plumeria flower and the plum flowers in spring as well! You are all flowers and the source of all flowers and yet; (!) you are not conditioned by this identity in any manner! Indeed- You are morally and literally boundless. In this respect I offer my humble obeisances to the lotus feet of the Amida-Tattva of Sri Krishna. Hari Om.
