RE: Selling to the customer vs selling the customer

in #life7 years ago (edited)

On the other hand there is the more recent trend where the customer becomes a product and the customer is sold to large clients.

It is horrible and it will only get worse :-(

Governments figured it out, that they don't have nearly resources all these tech companies have and they decided to live in symbiosis. You share with me what i want and I will let you and help you spy on everyone.

It is our freedom, democracy in question. There are already laws in making such as one in Canada, that removing microphone and camera from TV you buy and own is against the law. Soon we will be labeled as a criminals if we are going to resist being controlled and spied upon. :-(

This is very disturbing trend.

This is precisely why I will never own a smart TV, and why the camera on my laptop currently has an opaque sticker over it. I only rarely allow my microphone to be used by any site; I have it disabled by default.

My information; MY business.

We the People must protect ourselves, since our government has shown us clearly that they no longer have our best interests at heart, if in fact they ever really did.
