Why does everybody throw dirt at Polo? How do you know, they manipulated wit the price? The cause of the increase and decrease of the coin were most likely some whales, who just made a pump on LISK... Don't blame Poloniex for everything..
It's an objective reason here, as you can see, Poloniex added today a warning about lisk and the price started to decrease immediately. I didn't expose my emotions in this post, though I should've been.
The same happened this night with STEEM as soon as they changed the warning about a date when it will be available (as I explained here). It doesn't matter if they do it intentionally. What matters though is that they address the technical issues in the worst way possible. When a service is bad, the customers shouldn't be silent about it and the issues should be solved!
I think that's what going on with Bitcoin right now. Goldman-Sachs comes out saying they're going to advise their clients to look into crypto, and Bitcoin starts rising fast. Then a week later their analyst says that Bitcoin could hit $4800 before falling back to the upper $2000's. Call me crazy but it seems like a gigantic whale just jumped into the Bitcoin pool with pump and dump on their mind.
I don't think it's a scam, but you are right about whales pumping and dumping, you have to fin that window and pump/dump with them..;) They always pump one group of coins and dump another group at the same time...These pumps usually last for days..
