To crypto or not to?

Cryptocurrency is a technology, something that can make our life easier, more efficient and improve the old things we used to do. But technologies can become obsolete as newer techs will come and may replace the existing one, like any other inventions, it might stay for long or be gone in a short while, and another thing is that it can be a predecessor to a much more bigger and better solutions that will soon make the next wave in the world of computing and the internet. As for me, there would be no harm in trying the technology as long as you are well informed and have done enough research for yourself.
