Crowdfunding campaign by students to buy satellite minutes and supplies for medical staff in Puerto Rico
Hello all, this is my first post on Steemit. I am very happy to join such an innovative and bright future community.
I was sent this crowdfunding campaign last night through Twitter as I have been investigating a lot of the emergency response news about Puerto Rico. The campaign itself is ran by students who want to: "use the funds to supplement our supply drive and purchase satellite phone minutes for medical personnel working in Puerto Rico"
Satellite phone minutes are highly expensive, but at the moment in Puerto Rico 90% of power is down and that affects the towers in the area.
