RE: 40,000 Dead in 2017: If We’re Banning Things That Kill People, Cars Should Be First

in #news7 years ago

Nobody (of any influence or number) is trying or even implying a ban on guns... This is the oversensationalised point. Cars are regulated and deaths thus minimized to the best of our current abilities. Guns are not yet at that point so people are dying more than they need to be.

No banning required

Sort:

Actually you have been proven wrong on all accounts, Beto and the rest of the Democrats have made these statements that they are banning guns, plus Car deaths have risen over the years, even though there is much regulation.

Banning one particular gun, or one ridiculous type of gun that can mow 50 people down in a few seconds and has little hunting practicality, sure. (don't give me that nonsense about protecting yourself against the government. If you think China and Russia can't beat the US, what makes y'all think some grumpy old baby boomers with automatic rifles, most of which have barely even seen any blood let alone slaughtered thousands are gonna do) But guns? Not that I'm aware of. Maybe this has changed and they've gotten radical enough now to just march around trying to ban all guns, but it'll be the first i've heard of it.

And seeing a rise in car accidents is hardly a justification for removing regulation lol... otherwise 12-year-olds with no driving experience can get on the road. (I should know the results of this because I crashed my step-dad's truck when he let me be on the wheel for a few minutes)
