Hey, thanks for reading and the comment. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in the post, sorry. I was trying to illustrate that consciousness pervades everything in the universe and these two principles demonstrate that. The dog was just an example because of what the guy said about them just being biological robots.

That's a wicked example for engineering and the coding of the universe :) You should write a post on that.

I was going to comment that even a "toaster" has consciousness but you said similar when you said even a "rock" has consciousness. Non-dualism is key in many religions including Hindu and Buddhist although I am a Hermetic teacher and practitioner. Everything is a common dream we all share and everything is mental. I would be sad if I killed a bug never mind my dog.
