Langsa becomes a Tourism City
Consistent Developing Throughout 2018

LANGSA - Langsa City has been named as one of the tourist destinations in Aceh Province, in addition to Aceh Besar, Sabang, Bener Meriah and Simeulue. Coronation of city tourism is recognized through an award from the Acting Governor of Aceh, as a region that consistently develops regional tourism throughout 2018.

The award was submitted by the Acting Governor of Aceh, Ir Nova Iriansyah, to the Deputy Mayor of Langsa, Dr. H Marzuki Hamid MM after the 14th tsunami warning at the Tgk Mahraja Gurah Mosque, Gampong Lam Geu Eu, Peukan Bada District, Aceh Besar, Wednesday (26 / 12) morning.

Marzuki Hamid, told reporters on Wednesday (12/26) afternoon to express his appreciation and gratitude to the Pemko Langsa apparatus and the community, NGOs and other parties who have supported Langsa City in developing tourist destinations. "Hopefully, this award will continue to be obtained by Langsa City, because it is proof of the seriousness of the regional government to continue to maintain the environment and develop tourism," he said. It is said, Pemko Langsa is committed to making this area a local and outside tourist destination, such as mangrove forests and urban forests. "In the past few years, the tourist area continues to be visited by people from various regions, both Aceh, North Sumatra, and outside the region, with the aim of seeing the beauty of urban forest tourism objects and mangroves," he explained.

Marzuki Hamid believes that with the support and awards given by the Aceh Government, Langsa City will be increasingly eager to realize great Aceh. "This award is an honor for Langsa City, and also becomes a new spirit to increase the development of Langsa City, especially the tourism sector," he said.

Previously, Langsa was also named a city concerned with Human Rights (HAM), as well as high compliance from the central government. The assessment was expressed in the form of an award from the Indonesian Ombudsmen with the High Compliance Predicate 2018, and from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights as a Human Rights Caring City
