Have you ever seen a Baby Pigeon?

Disclaimer: English is not my first Language and i am dyslexic. Hope you can still enjoy :)

Back in the Days when everyone i ever knew still spend their Time on 9gag someone posted something along the Lines of "Things you have never seen".

The List included a McDonalds unter Construction, a Bus being refueled and a couple of other Things i had in fact never seen before. Not for a Moment did i actually think about them anyways but after reading that Post - and the Answer someone gave, which was them googeling everything listed, adding a Picture of it and titling it "Now you've seen it all!" - i paused for a Second.

McDonalds do just occasionally pop up, don't they?
But the Point that made me think the most was the very first listed: Baby Pigeons!

If you think about it Pigeons are freaking EVERYWHERE! They life all over the World and most Citys have way to many of those winged Rats crowding the public Places!

Now don't get me wrong, i quite like them.

Most People have very negative Associations with Pigeons and i can see why that is. The are to big in Numbers, poop everywhere and at least where i'm from most of them are sick or crippled and immensely sassy. When i was a Child one of them even had the Balls to snatch my Fries. Out of my Hands. Mid Flight!
That is equally impressive and terrifying...

However... I still like Pigeons. To me they are the flying Equal to us Ground bound Humans. Because let's face it quite a lot of the mentioned Attributes apply to our Species, too.

But this Post is not about us or anything it is about Baby Pigeons!
They are, as you have seen on the first Picture, not the most beautiful Creatures on Earth so maybe it is no Loss that we rarely see them. Actually they do it exactly right: Just stay Home until you feel ready, beautiful and independent. And while you're at it help with the Housework.

There is the Reason we never get to lay our Eyes on the Babies. Yet it is still strange to know that they are out there, sitting in their Nests, waiting until they are strong enough to make it on their own. And there have got to be so faking many of them but we have to specifically go seek them out to lay our Eyes on them.

You can imagine my Excitement when a Friend of mine announced to me that she had two little Pigeonies, lovingly cared for by their Parents, sitting in her Gutters. She proceeded to send me Pictures of the two Babys from the Day they hatched (which was when she found them due to the sudden Explosion of Noise Pollution) until our Lodger finally were fledging and left their Parents Home to make their own.

I like Pigeons!
They're smart and pretty, come in countless different Shapes, Colors and Sizes, can adapt well enough to populate almost the entire Planet and if they control their Population nothing really bad comes fro them. Sounds familiar?
I for one am happy that i was able to wideness the Beginning of two new Lifes, be it only through Pictures my Friend send me and the occasional "So how are our Pigeons doing?" Question.

So Thanks to her allowing me to share her Pictures with you, too. Have a Heart for Pigeons and have fun next Time you run through a Swarm of your Local flying Rats <3
