Two Different Shores
Two Different Shores
Where I stand
Is safe and secure,
Knowing its ins and outs by heart and soul.
Eyes closed I see it,
Even from across so many miles afar,
It has become a part of me,
Over thirty years of anchorage in this shore
Made me learn to keep it dear and persevere.
The other shore remains a dream of heart,
Seems unreachable, I fear to dare
Full of adventure, no-risk-no-fun for sure.
The dream to reach this distant shore
Stirs mixed feelings of doubt, faith, courage and fear
Pangs of longing and care
Make me wistful and insecure.
