Politician’s Ain’t Clowns

This happens every election year; we get crooks running for political office and everyone refers to them as CLOWNS! What did clowns ever do to deserve this kind of slander. I mean this nation is so very PC. You have to watch every word you say about different groups. The racism and gender slurs have been taboo for years and anyone that even tries to use those tainted words will get attacked from every angle. But you can call politicians “clowns” and feel like you haven’t stepped on any toes. Well you have…you stepped on my oversized clown shoes. You’ll take a perfectly established tradition and turn it into a political circus? Why circus? Why clowns? For centuries clowns have entertained for kings, children and the sick. They do their best to bring joy, happiness and silly antics to their public. Never have they been in politics nor had anything to do with it.
Politicians are boring and don’t even dress funny. They deal in serious issues and are responsible for the safety of the public. They make laws and millions of dollars. The only millionaire clowns I’ve heard of were folks like Ronald McDonald (not a real clown) and probably Bozo.
I did see some buttons one time that said “Bozo for President” but I didn’t take is seriously. Politicians’ are not clowns, not even close.
Maybe it would be better to call them Yo-Yo’s. You see the yo-yo can’t get offended or cringe every time they get slandered. And besides yo-yo’s are on a string, they go back and forth; up and down; see the resemblance between them and politicians?
Look, you can go around and slander us clowns and no one will ever chastise you for doing that. But I say next time you have a party and need a clown…call a politician.
Or maybe I’ll run for President and then you can call this clown a politician…
