If you haven't pressed MUTE then you're not trying hard enough. I have trolls on me too. I muted them and they got bored and moved onto bigger fish. Their reputation is now less than 0 and now nobody sees their posts.
Just so you know though, nothing on the blockchain can be edited. Every post you have made I, and everybody else can see it even after you've edited it. You won't get sympathy from dan and ned if you continue to retaliate as it looks bad on your part, but I can see that this is all over a petty difference of opinion. You've both been persistent.

So be it! I've been talking to other techies here, and ALL of them have "Great" ideas for various 'blocking functions' that can be used on the chain...all MUTE really does at this minute is change the color of the 'text'...We all discussed this is a 'beta', and that a great many things are yet to be incorporated...like 'selective channels'...I agree that any arguments here are really just a waste of 'bandwidth'...but as long as we are in 'beta' mode, there's a lot yet to be considered! H3ll, we couldn't promote until recently! I just want my posts to quit becoming 'battlefields' that people are afraid to comment in! My 'bunion' also likes to attack anybody in the thread that sides with me...It's an ongoing problem!
There are some improvements to be made yes, but for me, the only thing I have a problem with is when my reply feed is filled with persistent replies from the same person who I haven't replied to. My solution to this is to tell the person they have been muted, and once they know, any replies they leave in my reply box will be flagged.
Your reputation is higher than the trolls. So retaliation flags won't affect your reputation. Just don't go flagging everything of theirs to start a flag war. Only flag the replies that you see appear in your replies feed AFTER you have muted the troll and they are aware you no longer want to partake in a debate/troll fight! - which they should already be aware of from what I've seen.
Ok! Fair enough...I'm not one to go into immediately into a 'flag war' anyway...it's just irritating as all get out...Like I said...this is like some personal vendetta...& I don't KNOW him from Adam & Eve! Like you, I have also had my share of 'trolls' here!...But I'll try to be the bigger individual here...& take the 'high road'...
You can stop retaliating now unless you actually like the attention. Just forget about it, mute him/her and do not resort to responding or creating posts about them. That was the wrong way to retaliate. I don't mean to say you brought this on yourself, but did you really expect to be left alone by bringing more attention to yourself and the matter?
@beanz ...I CAN see your point here...but I've tried numerous times to ignore him...but he keeps right on bringing up lame excuses about me playing the 'victim' card...I'll tell you what...I'm going to try to post...& I'll bet you he will jump right in again!...But I absolutely do appreciate your willingness to help in this matter!
