La Arepa is a very popular dish in Venezuela and other parts of Latin America, in Venezuela it is a food that you can get in any house and it is used for dinner, breakfast, lunch and even snack. Its preparation is based on a flour that is made with corn, which can be white or yellow precooked.

the origins of this food go back to the time of our aborigines who lived especially the corn crop that after cooking it and crushing it in stones made a mass that turned it into a round shape similar to the moon. The arepa can be tasted in various ways in the oven, fried and boiled.
there are different fillings for this exquisite dish that goes from the queen pepeada, ham, cheese (palmita, llanero, clineja, etc), caraotas, shredded meat, egg, chicken, etc. this is accompanied with margarine and mayonnaise many times.
If you want to taste such exquisite food you can try it at home, concoct in the supermarket precooked corn flour, then make a dough with this adding water and salt to taste, select portions of approximately 80 grams with this eabore a ball and between the palms of the hands should be given a disc shape to the thickness you prefer, place them in a greased pan leave them for approximately 5 minutes on each side, then take them to the oven very hot for approximately 15 minutes on each side, then open them as indicated in the image and fill them with what you prefer and taste a delicious meal.
