Egg Soup
INGREDIENTS
one cup chicken broth
quarter teaspoon soy sauce
quarter teaspoon sesame oil
one teaspoon cornstarch
two teaspoons water
one egg, beaten
one drop yellow food coloring
one teaspoon chopped fresh chives
one eight teaspoon salt
half teaspoon ground white pepper
PROCESS
In a small pan, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce and sesame oil. Bring to a boil. Mix together the cornstarch and water to dissolve cornstarch; pour into the boiling broth. Mix gently while you pour in the egg and yellow food coloring if using. Season with chives, salt and pepper before serving.
