The reality of being a boy.

IMG_20180126_080713.JPGMost people or should I say everybody sees being a boy as an advantage only, forgetting the huge basket expectations attached to that gender.
From birth, a boy is taught that they are to take the family forward, so he has to work hard not only for himself but for his immediate family and the family he is to head later on in his life. Many will expect him to earn more than him father. Carrying this basket of expectations, a boy journeys into life;expectations that haunt him during the day and at night when he is about to sleep, sometimes he has sleepless night thinking of the way he could someday live up to those expectations
He is expected to be strong because his life is no longer his own alone because people will be depending on him soon.
Boys also get cheated by girls, they go through heartbreaks too, they also have emotions and feelings;having sleepless nights, crying silently, listening to sad songs, dying inside, missing someone, boys go through all this. Not to mention the numerous struggles he faces daily.
Boys also pass through difficulties just to get setting things done because he is a boy and much is expected from that gender. Undermining all this a boy still faces the world with a smile no matter how fucked up his life is and he always tries to be there for his friends and family in times of difficulty.
BEING A BOY IS NOT EASY as many may see it...being_a_boy_new2_grande.jpg
