This is such a great article! So clear, informative and also hilarious. I love your sense of humor. You say that you miss teaching, well, I can say that many more people would be interested in science if it was explained and presented in such a way, kudos!
I was no particularly concerned about the sterility of urine, but it always sounded like a dubious claim to me. Now you definitely helped to settle this once and for all! Interesting to see the chart comparing infected vs non infected samples from patients: it would seem that the Lactobacillus get taken over by Gardnerella, and of course Staphillococcus makes their appearance.
I don't know why I wasn't following you before, but now I certainly am! Cheers :-)
