It’s called a kotatsu. It is a Japanese heated table. Under the frame you will find a small electric heater and a fan. In the winter, you put a blanket over the table’s frame and then cover the blanket and frame with a table top. When you sit at the table, you pull the blanket over your legs and it’s nice and warm.
