Steem Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 15 Review and Match Prediction Game!

in #sfpl7 years ago

November and December are always this hectic, and it's great. We're given another match week just a couple of days since the last one. Wenger vs Mourinho is never boring, and if it is on the pitch, it's never boring outside of the pitch. City is looking forward to smashing West Ham, and Chelsea will probably continue their run with an easy victory against Newcastle. Will Tottenham bounce back, or will Richarlinson do them harm? What to expect from this match week?

Arsenal - Manchester United

Match of the week. Wenger vs Mourinho. Both teams come into this match with a great result, but also with some concerns. Arsenal lost Lacazette due to a groin injury, and Matic might not be able to play for United. I don't what loss is the biggest. Fellaini is set to replace Matic, but Fellaini is also a doubt for the match, which would give Mourinho's, even more, problems to solve. Speaking of Mourinho, his stats against the top teams away from home are not giving hope to United fans. Since August 2015, Mourinho has not won a game away from home against the top six teams. In those matches, they only managed to score on two occasions. With Lukaku in a bit of a crisis, and Arsenal's amazing home statistic this season, United will be put to the test. But again, the same can be said by Arsenal. It's well known that Wenger has a horrible statistic against Mourinho, winning only two matches in 17 matches. It's hard to predict a match where there are both strong arguments for an Arsenal and a United win. Therefore I will keep it simple, and say that United will not win. Both teams might be okay with a draw even though the gap to City is likely to extend. I am more likely to say Arsenal will win than United, but 1-1 seems very likely. I would not suggest buying any Arsenal or United players for this match.

Missing or doubtful players: Cazorla, Lacazette, Walcott, Iwobi (Arsenal) and Carrick, Fellaini, Matic, Jones, Bailly (United)

Chelsea - Newcastle

I thought it would be a good idea to do a preview on the first match of the week, and also because I think there is great value in Chelsea players in this match and the coming ones. After the comeback of Kanté, their defense looks almost impossible to break down. In the recent match against Swansea they made sure Swansea didn't have a single shot at goal. Because of this, I think there is great value in Christensen at 5,5m £, as he is likely to play. Newcastle has also failed to score in three out of the latest four away games, making it more likely that Christensen will be a great investment. Also, Courtois can be bought for 5,4m £ making him a great choice of goalkeeper this match week. Hazard didn't play much last match week and is likely to play all 90 minutes. Maybe Morata will be given rest as he played all 90 minutes against Swansea. Therefore, be careful if you have Morata as your captain. I predict Chelsea to win comfortably and to keep a clean sheet once again. If you don't have three Chelsea players, I suggest you start adding them to your squad. I have Morata, Alonso and Courtois, and expect them to score somewhere between 12-18 points for this match.

Missing or doubtful players: Batshuayi, Luiz (Chelsea) and Lascelles, Atsu, Dummett (Newcastle)

Manchester City - West Ham

I don't think West Ham is ready to get hammered. The Hammers will get absolutely hammered here. Coming from a 4-0 defeat against Everton, their confidence is low, they play like a League 2 team, and they will play the best team in the League, who has scored 26 goals at home. That's more goals than West Ham is likely to score in 20 matches. I don't think much rotation will take place for this match as they have already secured the 1st place in Champions League, therefore no need to rest the best players. Agüero might be given the day off, but the same can be said about Jesus. If Sané is fit from his illness he is likely to start. Not much to said about this match other than I expect City to score at least three or four goals. Only one match has they scored less than two goals, and that was in the opening game of The Premier League. Just to make things worse, Joe Hart is ineligible to play against his parent club. Ouch. Expect an entertaining game with a West Ham team looking worse than ever.

Missing or doubtful players: Mendy, Stones, Sané (City) and Byram, Chicarito, Fonte, Hart, Reid, Collins, Carroll (West Ham)
