I feel a bit embarrassed how fangirly I sound whenever I comment on your posts. But it's just that out here on the left, there isn't a great deal of stuff written by women that makes me yesyesyes all over it like your writing and thinking does, Caitlin.

I too find I have much greater connection with and respect for deep thinkers of a conservative persuasion than my comrades on the left. I'm actually finding it really upsetting and when I do come across female writers on the left who take the broad view, I'm extremely thankful!

It has been a bit of an epiphany over the last 6 months of how massively hollowed out we are on the left. Makes sense, given the neoliberal soup we've been marinating in for 40 years. But makes me realise how much work there is to make us whole again. And what you write about here is the centre of that particular seed.
