NAVIGATE THE SEASONS OF CHANGE
Sometimes, people react to change in their life as though it is a rare shocking experience. But our entire life are a cycle of constant change, as reflected in this beautiful and familiar psalm from Ecclesiastics:
.To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to breakdown and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stone, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war and a time of peace.
The first stage in learning to master change is accepting that change is not an event, it is a natural process, like the change of season in nature. Each change in seasons occurs in a predictable sequence and each involves stages that must be completed in order to move to the next level of transition.
The process of change is similar. Changes in your life are often accompanied by emotional responses that range from a sence of loss and sadness to a feeling of disorientation and lathargy, and then gradual rejuvenation and exhilaration. These emotions mirror, in many ways, the moods and emotions that accompany the changing seasons in nature. Nature provides a great model for the process of mastering change in our lives.
*learn from nature and you will how to navigation the seasons of change in your life.
