The Diary Game [26/03/2026] // Reflecting on my Day
Steem greetings guys from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I share a reflection of my day. It was a workday and I had a lot of work to be done as I might be travelling out of town, coupled with my kid's revision for second-term examinations.

With such tasks ahead of me, I barely sleep for up to 8 hours per day. The good thing is money will be paid hehehehehe. I woke up early to prepare breakfast for the family. I decided to fry some ripe plantain commonly called dodo in Cameroon. I had ripe plantains in the house and did not want to allow them to get bad. It was eaten with some omellete and everyone enjoyed it.

I am fortunate that my husband had to do the school runs while I focused on work. I had to analyze an inter-community conflict, its possible causes, and how to address the root causes of the conflict to further prevent escalating into a violent show. Then organised a focus group discussion with the parties to the conflict and trained some community leaders to help facilitate peacebuilding.
Returning home exhausted already and needed enough rest but can a mother rest knowing well that your kids haven't eaten🤔🤔. Rest was far-fetched because I had to prepare meals for us to eat. Entering the kitchen frowning because I wish to just come back home and eat and sleep 😆. I sluggishly open the fridge and boom, I see leftover huckleberry and I quickly prepare some fufu. That is how I was saved from spending hours cooking food because Cameroon food takes a lot of time to be cooked.
I already had corn flour at home and I heated water to cook the fufu with. In less than no time, the food was ready. As usual, I had to feed them to ensure they ate well. Then I bathe them to nap for about 2 hours.

While my kids were napping, I had to prepare some doughnuts for my kids the next day for school. I had to run to a nearby store to buy nut milk. It's a special doughnut using over-ripe bananas as a sweetener.
In the evening hours had a meeting with my sisters as we prepared for the funeral of my cousin's father. We had to make some financial contributions to assist the cousin with his father's burial.
After the meeting, I had to round off my kid's revision and then ended the day by cleaning the house and washing the dirty dishes ready to start a new day with new energy. Indeed, it was a fruitful day though very stressful but I got to keep going. Until my next diary, it is a good night from my end.

Keep doing the good work.
This was a nice one from you madam,it really shows you as a hard working person,a real wife who can be tired even when coming back from an official duty.
Your stand to make peace in a conflict shows that you are a peacemaker.
I will like to be like when I become a house wife and I pray for a peaceful home as you have,a husband taking care of the kids while you were not around.
It shows real love in the family.
Wishing you the best in your future endeavors as a mother.
