RE: DO NOT promote BitConnect on Steemit

in #steem8 years ago

Again thanks for letting me know man, I didn't think there was anything wrong especially when there are so many people talking about such as yourself in your videos. But now i know you can't link anything to them, to not upset the powers that be.

Sort:

steemcleaners programs bots to do all the flagging, so you are not upsetting anyone, it's you against the bots, and that's a losing battle

What else do the bots flag for besides bitconnect?

What else do they flag besides porn and bitconnect?

porn does not get flagged, you can post a picture of your penis with the nsfw tag. Don't worry about getting flagged for anything else, it's very unlikely

Thanks for the info man, I don't want to tarnish my reputation steemit nor do I want it to be tarnished.

@pfunk you are suppressing freedom of speech. I don't like it. - we should be able to experiment with things as a community and document our experiences - that way others can see how the experience went. I think it is really unfair of you to label @iamenglishtv as a scammer or anyone associated with it a "scammer". That is a childish thing to say. The only way you learn in the Crypt0 game is experience and taking risk. I say let people document Bitconnect and experiment with it as they please. People can make choices for themselves and don't need you to daddy them. They are not being pushy at all to join Bitconnect in their videos. @fyrstikken what do you think about this brother?

it's a very thin line, trust has to be earned, and it will take bitconnect another year to earn that level of trust. I think protecting steemit from any possible backlash if bitconnect turns out to be a scam is worth waiting a year first. The bitconnect offer is very lucrative, and allowing it to be promoted on steemit would encourge users to join steemit for the sole purpose of promoting bitconnect.

yes I agree johal! I used to getmad at @craig-grant for promoting Genesis mining referal links that I thought would never be proftable an only made him money off referals! but in a short few months veryone whp bought genesis mining contracts uder craig ended up making their money back ALOT faster tha expected as the price of bitcoin doubled from 1000 to over 2000! I would coose a mich better deal like pool.bitcoin.com which si sold out now , but even genesis contracts will be proftable as time goes on! And bitconect is now in the top 100 on coinmarketcap and I thought it had to be a shitcoin scam with how much peopel were maing, but i realize now its juts another crypto currency wit its ownnetwork and useful website trading bots microloans system etc, I guessi still dont like programs where you need a certain amount ($100 in bitconects case) to start making money...its why i like steemit where u dont need any money to start and can make something from nothing using your social media skills as a human robot....but butconnect may just be something like steemit, where instead of all the mined coins gooing to miners, the mined coins are distributed more evenly throyghout the community...correct me if i am wrong i still cant find a straight answer about bitconnect, and I bought 1 btconnect for $10 and now its worth like six bucks, if i would have put that tendollars into sia or bytecoin or ethereum or bitcoin it would have made AOT more by now

for that reason alone i just dont see any real use for bitconnect investing....if it can survivve fine and if pepple atre mking money off referals thats great too....i guess any crypto currency canmake its users oney if it shares the income made from mining or trading etc

but I just think bitconect is a waste of time compared to just smply spending that time on steemit or even investing in altcooins with a poloniex account !

but craig seems to be making so much on bitconnect! he uses it as ne of his top income sources now! makes me thik I should just invest the $100 to loanout

Nice post, I just think its wrong to punish someone based on speculation. Where is the proof/hard facts that state bitconnect is a scam? Today I heard the Monero boss talking about how so many people give him crap because people use monero to purchase large amounts of drugs. He simply shook his shoulders and said, that he doesn't do and he can't stop people from using monero in that way, so why should he care. I just laughed because its the truth, we may not like it but it doesn't make HIM or the currency wrong/bad.

yup i agree! yeah bitconnect is just another crypto currency and it is proven to be an actuak blockchain with its own seperate bitcoinnect wallets etc

just shoulndt be prooted as suc anamazing thinf or beginners, id rather ave begginer here on steemit or onexcanges uying altcoins etc and yeah i used to be mad at what thught was spam but i am happy to elp ANYOEN mae money on steemit UNLESS theyare prooting an active scam like Mini scam or those other known scams, then its all gooood!

I relized ANy referal programs for Mining contracts no matter how un profiitable at first will all be protfiable, eventeh genesis stuff at very very very bad rates, compared to new pool.bitcoin.co rates, well, evenif u do waste ur money on genesis u WIL make mony back once the bitcoin price doubles and triiples again! bbut youll make yoyr money back WAY faster at pool.bitcooin.com and i dont even have a referal program with them cuz its not up yet! no referal program! i aint makin shit off showin people that link! i ust wana help u guys get a cheap miner contract....i mean lifetime 1 terahash i got three! i would get mroe i f i coudl affford it maybe i shoudl sell everything and just buy ore lifetime TH ctracts it went up from $140 to $187!!! and rightly so!!!!! omg so hungry cants top typing sorry for all th etypos man im am trying toa nswer all my comments replies

I'm using the vote power available to me to disincentivize, not censor, BitConnect and other scam referral and promotion schemes. The reasons why are completely explained in the second half of my post about it.

But I don't see any of craig-grants videos being disincentivized or removed when he makes videos talking about bitconnect. He just made a video today, actually two videos. One using me as an example of what not to do, when he continues to do the opposite and his most recent video where talks about bitconnect for almost 3 minutes. In the military we called that a, "Do as I say...Not as I do" mentality. Either way your point for ME exclusively not to talk about bitconnect on this/your platform has been understood, and it won't happen again. I would like to just point out the obvious irony others and how they are rewarded for behavior that is frowned upon. Lets bury this topic and continue to be successful.

I downvoted a lot of his posts for promoting BitConnect in the past, when I made the post about it. It's not my platform, it's our platform.

His post still exist, and he still makes videos talking about bitconnect, so besides not linking to their website im not seeing the difference between the post where i made videos that had something to do with bitconnect and his videos where he talks about bitconnect. Only difference I see is size of our channels/steem accounts. Plus he calls himself the steem ambassador so i guess that helps?
Either way just seems weird, but im not going to worry about it. Lesson learned, and we move on. How has your day been by the way?

the audience on steemit is looking for credibility, all the donation links in your posts is bad for credibility, users who like your content can reward you with upvotes and steem, begging for donations goes against what steemit represents

Great opinion, not something I agree with, but something i must respect. I made a post on this a few days ago and will continue to stick to my content. I don't beg or ask anyone to send me money. I simply state to support me in any way you feel like it. I had someone randomly send me steem after watching me live on youtube. But thanks again for the heads up. I don't want to be breaking the rules here on steem, but also don't want others that come here to repeat the same mistakes.
