GIVE SOMEONE A SECOND CHANCE

Text:Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is the most deceitful thing there is and desperately Wicked. No one can really know how bad it is!(The Living Bible)
God is a God of second chances and we are products of God's divine mercies and that is the only reason that God sent His son to die for our sins. In other words, God himself gave us a second shot at life. God sent His son to deal with our sins and not to deal with us. Because we are recipients of mercy, God expects us to be instruments of mercy and compassion to those around us.
We are often too quick to write off people and we refuse to believe the best about them, we would rather pass our judgment and let them suffer for their shortcomings. We want to show how much we are better than they. There is the popular saying “don’t throw the baby with the bath water”. If we must make the most of all our relationships, we must be able to separate people from the problem. The moment you are able to do this you will discover you are better, able to love people and still go ahead to address the problem.
Really, there is nothing good or bad that anyone around us has done or even done to us that we are not capable of doing ourselves. The bible says that the heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, and no one can really understand it. Like someone close to me will always say if not for grace, a preacher’s wife could have been a prostitute on the streets. Grace found us, let others also find grace. when they encounter you; God does not expect that you will stand on His grace and point accusing fingers rather He wants us to make happen for others what He has made happen for us.
We must move from being so shallow and insensitive to write off people to being deeply concerned and seek to help them deal with the root cause of their behavior. Only the devil condemns people and God does not want you and me to help promote the devil‘s agenda. Let us learn to ask why instead of asking what If you are patient enough you will discover that most times people do not even understand the full importance of their actions, to their own minds they are either trying to meet their needs or they are simply trying to survive.
This great day, l want you to remember that you were saved to save others and you have been loved by God to love others as well. Give people a second chance like God gave you and let God's love flow from you to someone else.
