lol Steemit.com is like any other website on the internet. They all run into issues at some point. The good thing is you do have to ability to access the service through multiple interfaces while they correct issues with Steemit.com. Website maintenance has nothing to do with their smart tokens or other platforms like APPICS that will give you the ability to post to the STEEM chain.
