Mountain Camp Burni Telong

Alam Aceh also offers several tourist attractions for travelers who are adventurous and like challenges, one of which is Mount Burni Telong.

Mount Burni Telong is a favorite destination for nature lovers and tourists who like to climb mountains. This tourist attraction has a charming natural beauty in the form of a stretch of plantations, wilderness and the charm of Edelweis Flowers, known as one of the rare types of flowers. In addition, tourists will also be presented with stunning views when they are at the top of this volcano.

Geographically, the location of Mount Burni Telong is in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province. The distance between the foot of the mountain from Simpang Tiga Redelong is approximately 16 kilometers which can be reached by traveling for 30 minutes. This point is located in Bandar Lampahan, Rembune Village which is the favorite start of the climb on the mountain.

Not only local climbers, Mount Burni Telong is also the target of climbers from outside the city such as Takengon, Lhokseumawe, Bireuen, Medan and also Banda Aceh. There are several routes that can be chosen by tourists, the first is the route through Bandar Lampahan and the Pante Raya route. But the climbers prefer to use the Bandar Lampahan route because the distance is much closer than the Pante Raya route.

In Rembune Village, the Mount Burni Telong climbing post was managed by the local community. For climbers, they are required to provide identity, and pay a retribution fee of Rp. 5,000 for everyone. From this post the distance to the foot of the mountain is only about 3 kilometers.
