Stack Overflow + Steemit?
Not a long time ago, I have joined steemit, since I saw great opportunity in it and the idea was great. Then, I've discovered Utopian, where you would get rewarded for contributing to open-source projects. That was even better! A system that could encourage developers to work to open-source software is something that the developer community needed for a long time.
Well, the biggest Q&A platform for developers is Stack Overflow. For those of you who don't know what it is: someone who is writing a program encounters an error or a problem which he cannot fix himself. Then, he posts a question on Stack Overflow. Then, developers, or people who know how to get over his issue or fix it, provide answers. These answers can be upvotted, commented on and marked as the answer to the question. It even has a reputation system:
- Answer upvotted +10 reputation
- Answer marked as correct +15 reputation (Note that only 1 answer can be marked as correct)
We could create a website, working just like StackOverflow, but instead of this reputation, we should have STEEM. I think it would be awesome, personally, and would have great success!
What does the steemit community think?
Great idea. I've made something like this. You may read the intro post A discussion board build on top of the Steem blockchain
