CCEDK and Steemit bring Crowdfunding to Projects Corner

in #steemit8 years ago

ICYMI - Crypto Coins Enterprise Denmark Aps, a startup service provider, is using Steemit to launch a crowdfunding initiative. CCEDK is giving participants one week to sell their projects to the "crowd" and whoever has the most up-votes will be the featured project and listed as LIVE ICO on CCEDK.

Ronny Boesing, CEO of CCEDK said:

"If you win you agree to include the Steem dollars achieved as part of the costs to cover the campaign. If you don't, you can walk away with hopefully enough to keep on working on your project."

The crowdfunding industry has experienced rapid growth over the last several years and is becoming ever more popular and recognized in the mainstream. Could Steemit become the next conduit for impact investing and charitable donations? Will people continue to create GoFundMe campaigns then hit Facebook to promote it or will they simply Steemit? Could the blockchain + social credibility limit the fraud currently seen on other platforms? I believe the mashup between blockchain, crowdfunding and social media will have an important social impact and look forward to watching the progression over the coming months and years.

What other important innovations do you see being bolted on to the Steemit platform?
