German DJ that is bucking some trends

Hiya Music Lovers - today we start Dance Weekend and we are in the middle of Techno Friday (thanks @neutronenkind) as well as Electro Friday (cheers to the expert @edje - he did not use it as a tag officially yet but I would have no objections here). Glad to see more and more electronic music initiatives coming up with the aim of uniting the music community - a lot different tags could mean to some people we are working in silos, but no! Rather the contrary is happening we give more options to people loving a little space of tunes only but also unite this into a bigger music picture which is great! I am glad to be part of such a great music community on steemit. I have travelled a lot around the world during the last months in terms of introducing DJs or producers from different continents. Today I return back to my home country - Germany.

Techno Friday today present Chris Liebing

Who? Chris is of sure a DJ I have not touched yet here with a post. He is not one of these commercial famous superstars but he is one you should listen to. His DJ sets are awesome. Also he has a personality bucking the trend bit. Chris is DJ, producer, radio host and founder of his own label called CLR. Chris is vegan - one of the few I know (saying this as I am a lover of meat) that also promotes the benefits of veganism lifestyle publicly.

Chris was born in a city near Frankfurt so it was natural he became active in one of the two capital of Techno in Germany. He started his own Spinclub techno club in 1994, was staff at the famous Eye Q Records and created his first own record label in 1996 called Audio - CLR followed in 1999. He did a lot visionary things in his career that was recognised by a lot official institutions of Techno, such as his album "Evolution" which took hime two years to finish and was reported as "a techno album to go to war with" by CMJ New Music Report.

With CLR he started a podcast series every Monday that featured a lot celeb guest from the music industry - mainly DJS but also other pioneers of electronic music such as Martin Gore from Depeche Mode (Chris also remixed DM tracks).
