Asia trip
I travel because it makes me feel liberated from all my responsibilities at home and it allows me to experience new cultures as well as meet amazing people from around the world who have fascinating stories to share.
This trip was over the summer holidays of 2015/16 and I escaped to Asia with some of my great friends. We started in the Philippines where we experienced their festival season as they prepared for Christmas. The Filipino people were in great spirit and were very warm and welcoming and many advised us to go see the Ayala Triangle light show.
However, little did we know that Christmas day was all about family and that on this day the only place that we could get dinner was at yellow cab pizza. Very cultural, yes i know!
The next destination was Boracay and that was all about partying, island hopping and relaxing on beaches sipping on pina coladas. The dream!
Once we had gotten the summer party life out of our system we entered Saigon, Vietnam! We went straight to their famous War Remnants Museum and then headed towards the Cu Chi tunnels to continue our history lesson... and of course shoot guns.
The amazing Ha Long Bay was next on our list. A place everyone should see and in particular kayak through in their lifetime as it is so peaceful and beautiful.
South Korea was our final stop! Now for us, Seoul was all about the food and shopping. Whether it was fried chicken, live octopus or street food we had to give it all a go!
Of course the lads and I also tried to blend in with the cute asian culture! Did we succeed?
Here is a video to conclude our great trip and this blog.
I had great experience but did i miss any vital things to experience/ see? I hope you enjoyed my journey and photos. Thanks Guys!
