in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hello fellow steemians,

I am starting the week #10 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia. If you like to participate then place your personal image from your travels within Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and the best 10 posts will get my upvote. I will then pick the best picture of that day that I will highlight in the separate post next day to bring the winner some extra publicity and personally visit the blog of that steemian and upvote his/her most recent post. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically be entered into other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 150 SBD in total. So far I have given out approximately $900 in upvotes and 135 SBD in rewards.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge after Asia today will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on Sunday.

• Australia and New Zealand
• Antarctica + the world’s oceans
• Africa
• Europe

From Mt Inasa you are having one of the greatest night views around the world. The city that is spread out in front of you is Nagasaki, in Japan. Located on Kyushu island that city hosts a very special atmosphere, due to it's easy European influence. A must to visit...

Beautiful night view! Thank you so much for your participation.

I took this photo while I was visiting the Forbidden City in Beijing, China. You can wee the workers there collecting the garbage, using traditional bicycles. From the buildings you can conclude that the photo corresponds to the Forbidden City. It is an unusual image, you do not associate this image with this famous touristic attraction of China.

Wow, looks like in the old days:)....

Three lesser gorges - Yangtze River
Today I want to share a picture which I shot while taking a day trip into the Three lesser gorges along the Yangtze River. The "bigger" cruise ships can't go into the smaller side arms of the river so you take smaller boats to explore the more remote areas. Even today some people live up on the mountains and walk down and up each way for 2-3 hours every single day to fish or work in the tourist industry.

Have a great sunday everybody:)

This looks like an amazing place to visit! Thank you so much for sharing.

Photo taken in Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan India. Outside the typical pink sandstone of the buildings is main colour of the city. The view is from a window of the Hawa Mahal one of the main attractions of this city.

Great entry. Thank you so much for sharing with everyone. Tomas

My entry is from Jakarta- Indonesia..I went a place called Bukittinggi. I must say that it was an amazing place. It was full of history with the temples, architectures and nature.. I felt myself in ancient times..There was also museum here showing Indonesian culture..

Fantastic! I definitely like your entry!

For today, I'm going back to a classic, the Taj Mahal. I'd been to four or five other cities in India before I finally had a chance to visit Agra. I was so excited to finally see the Taj Mahal and take a tour of this famous building and the grounds around it. It was clearly a rainy day when I went but I love the umbrellas and clouds in the picture. It really was an incredible wonder to see this wonder of the world!

Magnificent Taj Mahal! What a great place. Thak you for sharing with all of us.

Astonishing Himalayas.
The photo is taken during trekking in Ladakh region in Himalayas. Those nice carved stones are written prayers. Everyone seen colorful flags in Himalaya those are also prayers. But flags are temporal... short life. So if you want the God to find you pray, you have to make it long lasting. Stone is the best material for this.
Try to imagine the difficulty of making this and even more how hard it was to deliver high to the mountains. It was found in about 4500m height.
p.s. sorry for my poor English :)

What a fascinating story and the image. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon. Tomas

Thank you.

This photo was taken at Sensō-ji in Asakusa, Japan. I’ve been there a few times already but every time I go there, it always seems like its the first time I visited Sensō-ji. There are lines of shops leading towards Sensō-ji so there are plenty of souvenir shopping. By the time I come out of Sensō-ji, my bag will always be full of gifts for friends and family.

Sunset in Cherai beach, Kerala, India. Many mistook this for canvas. This was taken in a canon sx 40hs which I unfortunately lost. I had to wait for a long time for the shot, as most of the day was cloudy on that day. Haven't used any of the special effects. You can see the sun going into the clouds. and most of it , the camera had only 12 megapixel. Do visit my lovely place cherai, Keral , India for more details contact me.

Thank you @czechglobalhosts , I'm just an amateur in photography and needs a good leap to get an exposure, thank you indeed for the support and motivation.

I didn't get any response.

Shanghai city god temple in China impressed me with its nice architecture and a lot of tourists :) This folk temple is located in the ancient region of the city and is built on water which gives it a special charm and atmosphere. It was a memorable walk!

Thank you so much for your participation.
