Iceland is called the main surprise of the EURO 2016 – she won England in the 1/8 finals. But beautiful northern country is remarkable not only with this fact. See, what I have found: 11 amazing facts about Iceland!

1. The most famous Icelandic volcano is called Eyjafjallajökull. Of several thousand interviewed people only 0.005% were able to say the word. Can you do it?

2. The national cuisine of Iceland is not pizza and burgers ... In the menu you can find lamb eggs, rotten shark meat, sheep ribs in lactic acid and sheep heads…

3. Icelanders are long-livers! The average life expectancy for women is 81.3 years, for men – 76.4 years. 

4. Iceland has no railways. At all.
