If there's one thing that the Philippines can truly brag about, it's the beautiful spots that the country is blessed with. Here are my personal top 5 beautiful places the country has to offer.

5. MAYON VOLCANO

A perfectly symmetrical cone-shaped active volcano is just one of the must sees in the Philippines. Located in Albay, Luzon, the volcano rises to more than 8,000 feet (2,400 meters) above sea level. Visitors can enjoy a number of activities here such as camping, climbing, hiking, bird watching and photography. But this beauty has a deadly side to it. It is the most active volcano in the Philippines, and has been active in the past week. The most destructive eruption of Mayon occurred on February 1, 1814 bombarding the nearby towns with volcanic rocks. The remains that was destroyed by the 1814 eruption can still be seen- showing that there is still beauty in destruction.

4. CHOCOLATE HILLS

From the name it self, these hills look like delicious chocolate goodies. Shaped almost equally with each other, these hills are a delight to everyone that gets to visit. During the dry season the grass turns brow, hence the name. There is no known reason on how these giant mole hills were formed. But who cares? It's there and its a beauty

3. OSLOB WHALE SHARKS

What says adventure more than getting up close with the biggest fish in the world, the whale sharks (locally called butanding). Oslob, Cebu offers this experience to tourists who want to swim with these gentle creatures. I assure you that not only is this safe, but is also breathtaking.

2. BORACAY

Pristine, crystal blue waters, white fine sand, and amazing night life - these are the words that perfectly sum up this group of beaches in the Philippines. With stretching beaches of white sands and hotels, this place is full of possibilities as it is with tourists. There are no particular thing you have to do there, the choices are endless; from scuba diving, to parasailing, to swimming with fishes, or just hanging out with locals at bars and enjoying the beach life. Although it is a bit pricier than other Filipino tourist spots, the beauty of this place is worth every cent.
