Description
Steemit Environmental Club (SEC) is a global network of steemians who are educating, advocating, and acting for environmental protection.

The goal of the club is to promote environmental education, advocacy, and action on Steemit using the power of Steem.
Some of SEC’s core activities are;
1. Organize environmental contests such as the Green Deeds Contest, DIY Recycling Contest, Climate Actions Contest, etc
2. Find and reward environmental content on Steemit
3. Organize environmental awareness-raising/advocacy campaigns and commemorate international environmental days
4. Plant trees around the globe (Steemit Trees Project)
5. Disseminate environmental news and opportunities such as fellowships, grants, contests, conferences, etc.
6. Organize the Steemit Environmental Awards aimed at recognizing the works of Environmental Steemians.
6. Initiate the Steemit Environmental Fund which will provide microgrants for Steemians to carry out Environmental Projects around the globe

Rules

Community is a global community of environmentalists, nature lovers, homesteaders, and steemians who are passionate about environmental education, advocacy, and action.
Community contests will have strict contest rules to be respected by all contest participants.
Creativity and originality are the pillars of the community. We value your work and not the work of others; hence zero tolerance for plagiarism.
All posts in the community must be related to the community’s objectives of environmental education, advocacy, and protection.
Community members should be willing to support Environmental projects and programs around the globe
Delegations or 25% of post payout set to the community account will be required for all members
Annual Community Membership dues will be deliberated upon by Community members but the idea of annual dues is to use to power up the community account, manage community activities and finance the Steemit Environmental Fund.
