The festival lasts about a month every winter from the end of December to the end of January.
My family went to a local festival in Gangwon Province. Gangwon Province is an alpine region and snow festivals are usually held because it snows a lot in winter. My family went to the 'Pyeongchang Trout Festival', where people can go fishing for trout and enjoy various snow activities.
My children were more excited about snow activities than trout fishing. They really liked sledding down the hill on a tube and focused on Korean traditional sledding and various activities such as ice-riding bikes and carts. I think we went there when the event started in the morning and played on the snow for about eight hours until it got dark. It was a really happy time for me, too, to see my children enjoying themselves. :)
For dinner, I had a hearty meal with my friends' family and all of them. We went to a place famous for its local specialty, noodles made from buckwheat and boiled pork. Let me show you some pictures. Every single one was very delicious.
The day passed so quickly, but we were so excited and happy. We made many good memories that will be remembered for a long time.
Why don't you plan a trip that makes great memories and go? I wish you all have a joyful and happy day today. Thank you for reading. :D
