RE: @Techtek, Steem(it), SteemPi, and Utopian.io - A Love Story (and history)

in #utopian-io7 years ago (edited)

Awesome write up by a awesome person thank you, and very much appreciated!

Utopian is a wonderful way to contribute, and this is a good example that people can help with the SteemPi project, also if they are not a programmer.

The project have multiple important facets and they all need work.
Promoting and making people aware is very important. and is something i not always have the time for, because of the technical development, testing and releasing.

But all facets are needed to make this project have the best possible outcome.

This project can't be done in a short amount of time by just a few people, and that's also why it brings nice opportunity for others to contribute there parts.

Things that can use people there help / are on the to do list:

  • Improve SteemPi interface
  • Improve overall system
  • Test system and installation
  • File server solution (to host the image files preferable decentralized maybe torrents)
  • find and test new to add functions for the SteemPi TV-box system
  • Test (usb) hardware accessory's, make new hardware compatible (HDMI-CEC!)
  • Test RetroPie, Kodi make improvements.
-Make RetroPie work from within Raspbian (now it works only with multiboot)
  • SteemPi Live (boot SteemPi from USB stick)
  • SteemPi Website (text and design)
  • Testing and improving and making new SD image files for different boards and brands
  • Make translations of the SteemPi interface
