How to increase you voting power?
Voting power is based on how much steem power your account holds and how much voting you have done recently...
- Steemit approximates your average voting rate with your steem power on daily bases.
- The number of votes per day is a moving average.
- Each vote made a day increases your voting power.
- If you go 24 hours without voting then your average will be reset to a starting point of 20.
So the more you post and vote, the more voting power...
One other factor...
- If you are a newbie on Steemit cool down on the upvoting atleast 25-50 per day or you will get an error message that says "Voting weight is too small, please accumulate more voting power or steem power"
- You increase the number of times you upvote as you post more and more content.
Or Just go on social media and link your Steemit account to all your posts #Wink
Please note: Updating a post will reset its upvotes...

Hi! Newbie here. What do you mean updating post will reset the upvotes??
It would mean that, if we update a post then the upvotes we had accumulated so far would reset to 0. That would be considered as a fresh post.
