Is the YouTube Monetization strategy just another carrot in front of the horse's nose?

The past couple of months Monetization on YouTube seems to have become a flickering spark busy dying a slow death as more and more rules and algorithm changes are made to the platform.

Hi everybody, my name is Nico and here is my latest story:

I've been a YouTuber for almost 6 years now, creating content just for the fun of it. My original channel is in my personal name where I used to post videos of things I found interesting for that moment, nothing else. I weren't into trying to make money as I didn't even understand that money could be made on the platform back then.

Well things have changed quite a bit in the last few years now, didn't it?

YouTube started attracting creators from all four corners of the earth, from the man on the street, the grocery store on the corner, to the Wall street billionaire, and even the terrorist that wants to take over the world.

We all know that since YouTube began it went through trillions of changes, which did improve YouTube in a sense, but made it more and more difficult for creators to make a living off of the platform. Since back then right upto this very moment YouTube still encourages it's creators to create more advertiser friendly content so it can remain a hub for advertisers to get exposure and business leads. The alarming trend creators see is that it seems as if the more content they create, the less and less they make, speaking in Google Adsense terms as more and more videos are being "demonetized" with the excuse of "not being advertiser friendly enough", while some elite groups and political agendas are being pushed on this very platform. Did you see the LGBTQ movement and the Hillary Clinton saga? What about BLM etc etc?

Understandably YouTube had to or was forced to implement a few changes to it's system to get rid of the terrorism and disturbing content being uploaded and "Monetized/PAID" by Google AdSense money which only furthered their evil agendas.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, every day creators are creating content to encourage and help other smaller creators to learn to create more effective content in hopes of making a living themselves and the "students" making a living off of their content too. While all this effort is going on, YouTube seems to be getting a kick out if it that YouTube creators are fighting to be relevant and seen on their platform. In the meantime YouTube still makes a ton of adverting money off of the creator content being produced with the sweat and tears of beaten down content creators. YouTube doesn't seem to care any more about it's content creators, which is a shame as those very creators are pouring their hearts and lives into their content all to be recognized and hoping to make some sort of living doing what they love.

As this trend continues more and more YouTube creators are seemingly leaving the platform in hopes of find alternative solutions to their cry for acceptance and recognition. During this quite a few new platforms sprung up in hopes of aiding the craving of sharing creator driven content as was once so popular on YouTube. Platforms such as Minds started a while back which wasn't successful and people just returned back to YouTube as Minds had no real incentive to keep it's creators on board.

Then started Steemit, a well thought out and polished but still to be improved platform that promises the Bitcoin/Blockchain as backbone.

As far as I understand, Steemit also has a video platform which works almost similar to YouTube, but incentivises it's creators with steem as monetary value in the form of Bitcoin.

How effective and prominent this will become is to be seen still even though many are putting their hopes and trust in the Steemit platform. I myself am busy moving over to see if this might become a more sustainable option for me.

The two big questions:

1. But how will this platform combat becoming a propaganda machine for political dominance?
2. How will this platform ensure that it does not incentivize terrorism?
