#2020Vision Diary: Day 8

in #2020vision4 years ago

'Don’t wait until late at night to put up your diary post’ is what I said to myself yesterday. Because one day, I’ll just wake up next to my kids in the morning and realize that I haven’t posted my #2020Vision Steem post.

This actually almost happened yesterday. It was a busy and successful day and limiting to just 4 things I’m proud of might be a challenge, but here are my favorite ones:

  • A 2020 kick off meeting with one of our biggest clients at Ineffable
  • The first official weekly team meeting
  • Finally releasing my ‘Ride with’ video on YouTube
  • A kick off meeting to a new national project

While the first part of the day went according to plan, the second part become one big time squeeze trying to fit everything in. Right now, my calendar for the week is completely booked and I’m pretty sure there are still some things that I have to finish this week that haven’t been added yet.. yikes..

This challenge might actually suit you. As you are one of my most active personal friends on the blockchain.

To stimulate more engagement, I will add a daily question to my posts from now on to get the discussion going.

Today’s question:
What is your favorite Steem post of the past week?

The #2020Vision Diary is a challenge as part of @pixiepost’s #2020Vision project.
Read more about it here.

My personal twist:
For me the main focus will be on posting 4 things I did every day instead of 4 creative pushups.

P.s. First is the view that we had this morning from outside our office.

Beautiful photo; that is quite a view! I love capturing scenic photos such as those or sunrises. :)
Believe me, I totally get it as far as posting at the last minute. I didn't get to post my video until after 9pm tonight. (I am usually almost ready for bed by then & here it is almost 11:30!) Life happens so don't stress if things get in the way. Just come back to the next day. I usually like to submit my Actifit report but unfortunately, that's not happening tonight. BUT I decided to do a blog one twice a week so I am not over stressing, esp with all of the daily tasks I have to do. I KNOW you understand lol.

But as always, you represented the #pushon mentality of the #2020Vision challenge & for that, I thank you!🧚‍♀️🦄🙌💜

Haha.. thanks @pixiepost!

I haven't posted an actifit report in ages and this had been one of my best stretches ever. But just getting the 5k daily is just as rewarding.

And yes, I understand. For me the commitment is more a promise to myself to be more consistent and I know that if I break the chain I will end up stopping. So #pushon is the only option 😉

I completely understand where you are coming from. For example, I don't feel well today & thought I might not post for #2020Vision today, just double up tomorrow.

The interesting thing is I asked myself "why can't I post"? The #pushon mentality is there for a reason. I put pressure on myself to do the same format every day, but it's the intention that matters. So I posted a quick video & it's just as valid as any of the other posts I have done. This will also hopefully shows others it can be done with no excuses. It's a matter of self growth, which is a butterfly effect throughout the community. We all have a part, regardless in what form.

Wow, I didn't mean to ramble but what you said was spot on & really resonated with it. For me today, it was a teachable moment. 🙏😊♨️
