Hello! I'm Ben Russell from the Missouri Ozarks
Well hello there! I've been a member of the Steemit community for about a year, however I haven't participated. It's time to change that. I don't understand everything about Steemit, but here we go!
This is a picture of my two boys and I at a local coffee house
I'm a husband (my wife calls me Cool Daddio) and a father of 4. I work 4 days a week for a church doing media, but have begun changing that in the past 2 years by trying out my entrepreneurial skills. I develop websites, do audio video work and also write. I've written the first fiction in a series for children titled "Noah Drake And The Dragon Killer".
This is the cover for Noah Drake And The Dragon Killer. You can read more about it at http://bit.ly/NoahDrake1
Book two is in the works right now.
The goal of the series is to introduce children to creation science. What is Creation Science? I'm glad you asked! It's the idea that Evolution is not how we all got here. Instead a loving God created us and put us here for a purpose. If that were true, then so many of the scientific things we are taught in America are just plain wrong!
I'm very interested in the teaching of creation science. My inner child gets excited about dinosaurs and the idea that they're not millions of years old. I despise the theory of evolution and believe it helped turn our society against God.
Anyway, that's a bit about me. Next I plan to share one of my first blogs from my website! Thanks for reading!
Great to see you here Ben! Props to you for testing out your entrepreneurial skills in media and literature. A few items for your consideration brother:
-you may consider using the #introduceyourself. It will give you more exposure and some nice upvotes to boost your payout.
-@creatr and @gavvet wrote some recent articles about the 24 hour creation debate. Both are highly educated and enjoyable to interact with as believers.
-@ericvancewalton is a self published author here on Steemit who has had great success. You may find some of his articles helpful if you decide to use Steemit as a marketing tool for your books.
I am more than willing to assist you with any questions you may have. Blessings to your Steemit journey!

Thanks Lydon.sipe! I'm still getting the hang of hashtags, but I'll give your advice a try! I checked in with steemit a couple days after my first 2 posts and wasn't very happy, but I'm pleasantly surprised after checking in 3 weeks later!
I appreciate the community and the help!
Good to hear!
