Hello World! (About me post)

Hey everyone! My name is David(But I go by Mini/MiniDrummer online :3 ), I hope you all are having a fantastic day. I am new to this whole blogging concept and a friend has been telling me a lot about crypto currency but anyways here we go. I'm currently 15 soon to be 16. I was born and raised in the most interesting state in the country KANSAS(that's sarcastic if you couldn't tell) I love it none the less but I have had some hard times here when I've been going through school.

I used to get bullied quite a bit in school since I was a lot smaller than the other kids in school and I use to not like to talk to anyone because I would always feel threatened that the bullies would find out I even told my parents. I've moved around to different schools and they were close enough that the names would follow me until around sixth grade when my mother got a job at the school I'm currently going to now(I wouldn't be able to if she wasn't because its a little pricey$$$). This new school is where I felt like I got a new start. I started meeting people that liked the same things I did and they were all so welcoming and kind I felt like I had a fresh start!

My father is a drummer so as soon as I could do anything he had a pair of drumsticks in my hands. :)

Ever since I've just fallen in love with music and I listen to everything under the rainbow from The Beatles to Slipknot. With this new school I am going to there is this amazing fine arts program and its optional. Which is amazing because everyone in that band room wants to be there. The amazing thing about music is that no matter what you look like or how you are as a person everyone connects and there is just no better feeling. I've been able to join the Jazz Band and Drum Line, of which I play Drumset and piano for the Jazz band and I'm Center Snare/ Drum Captain on the Drumline/Marching band! All these opportunities are giving me a sense of purpose. Music is my escape and has gotten me through many many hard times.

I also used to be in the school's choir but in recent years I have dropped it to find my second love Programming. I've been learning Java over the past few years and this coming year I am taking a AP Computer Programming Course and have hopes to Major in computer science in college. In the mean time of school if I am bored I'm slowly teaching myself C++ for later use. My dream is to eventually work at a large game company like blizzard and be a game developer.

Like I said I've had some hard times, I've had depression over a few years and it all started when I was getting bullied and my grandparents started passing away and it all started piling up and got worse. I've just been in dark places before and now I've turned around my fear of bullying and made my username even embrace my size compared to others. Others online and family members have also helped me through all of this thankfully, if not I don't know If I'd even be here writing this post right now.

I have a few Hobbies and they consist of playing video games, playing/writing music, programming, and swimming.
Video games have been my escape through many years of my life. I have fallen in love with all blizzard games alike. I have made amazing friends online on these games. And a couple of these people are on this very website (Shout out to https://steemit.com/@mariacoolcat and https://steemit.com/@gobbahfett ) those two have helped me when I've been having a bad day and always seem to make me smile. :) I love the internet and everything it does I just want to some day put my mark on the world even if it helps a couple of people. I want to make content and write and try to make people's days better, because you never know something simple can change someone's mind set and even save a life.

Anyways I've been wanting to get into writing as you could probably tell I don't have the best skills with formatting and stuff but I love to share atleast part of my story. I hope you all are having an amazing day I love you all :3
