How does a program ever going to estimate or measure the value of an article? I think it is an important question we need to ask ourselves. On the other hand side, some curators are making use of auto-voting software because of the 30min voting window rule.
When it comes to legitimate curators auto-voting good authors, I could see it a lesser evil. still share your concern on the topic.
