A photoshop tutorial plagiarism case: easy-breezzy

in #abuse6 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone, today to relax after a day of hunting in the jungle, I looked at some articles on our platform. I was very impressed by this this series of articles that shows how to create a glowing deer in Adobe Photoshop, made by @easy-breezzy.

The initial image was just beautiful, a deer in the dark forest with fiery horns, so I decided to take ten minutes and watch how it had created it:

Beautiful isn't it? But continuing to read the article I noticed that the images were strangely rotated, like the following:

And it was certainly not the only one, all the images were slightly rotated, I report only a few in this article otherwise it would become really too long and I don't want to bore you, you can go and see them all by following the links I will put at the bottom of this post

Suspicious then I went hunting for the original source, and guess what? I found it, here it is: Plagiarism is not limited only to images, but also to the tutorial, each step is copied from the original source:

Can you see how all the images have been rotated or reflected? This was done because turning the images makes it harder to find them

I could go on and on, for all three articles it's the same thing, but even the jaguars have to sleep from time to time, so I'll leave the sources here if you want to go deeper and I'll go to sleep.

@easy-breezzy plagiarized articles:

Creating a fantastic glowing deer in Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Part 2
Creating a fantastic glowing deer in Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Part 3

Hi and welcome, @jaguarista.

Thank you for another contribution from the Jaguar Force team.

Copying one's content is rampant here on Steemit. Uncovering the slick abusers requires extra effort.

As @leoumesh shared, regular search can return zero matches.

Did you try searching for the image first? Did you use text search instead? What tools/techniques did you use to finally find the tutorial?

You're acutely disgusting, too.

Thank you @lovenfreedom, I'm sorry but I can't publicly share my techniques, if everyone knew them it would be more difficult to discover plagiarisms

Very smart of you 😉
