Vice President Dr Bawumia shared government's Ghana beyond aid vision with members of silicon valley on April 12, 2018. He emphasized the belief that Ghana will not continue to rely solely mineral resources to achieve sustainable economic developments.

He believes a Ghana beyond aid must be focused on cultivating ideas and innovation of Ghanaians and the diaspora. Only then can we hope to be free of Aid.

Building Ghana' s STEM and Information Communication Technology abilities is the best way to create meaningful growth. We must utilize the brain power Ghanaians and reduce the brain drain of our best talent to other nations.

The Vice President spoke at a gathering of technology experts working in Silicon Valley, California, USA. Dr Bawumia said government is aware that the growth of the technology sector is key to building a Ghana beyond aid.

The question that remains on most Ghanaian minds is weather or not their government can pull off such a feat. Part of the reason aid has failed to help in Ghana is because of negligence and corruption that is a cancer in our government.

Before we can becone a Ghana beyond aid we need to refine our nation's accountability laws and as a people demand investigations into the cpeeupt negligence of current and former officials, officers and entrepreneurs. Setting a precedent that corruption will not go unpunished is the first step to effectively growing a nation.

I strongly think they just go about saying things without even knowing what it means. Political PR.. that is my view.

Agreed they only know it ensures the next rpund of funding

It is a work in progress and would surely make Ghana better.lets just keep being supportive to these governments initiatives to help us get there

I think its time we made our own private or public non government iniatives
