Rujak Aceh is so called because Rujak Aceh is certainly found in Aceh. The uniqueness of Rujak Aceh in general has its specialty that lies in the sour taste, sweet and spicy. The ingredients used consist of various kinds of fruits such as mango, papaya, kedondong, bengkuang, jambu, pineapple, and cucumber, but the spices are used, has its own characteristics such as salt, raw chilli, tamarind, palm sugar liquid, peanut and young banana or rumbia fruit.

What is interesting about this rujak Aceh, on top of the big "ulekan" made of stone that can accommodate for 50 servings of rujak, there are also usually used ulekan made of teak wood. The way rujak presentation is usually done in two ways, namely first placed in the dish and the second placed on a banana leaf. Buyers who eat at stalls, usually provided in the dish, whereas that will be brought home, usually wrapped with banana leaves which of course be its own characteristics.
