PT KKA was established primarily for the self-sufficiency program of procurement of domestic cement bag papers. Established on 21 February 1983 based on Presidential Approval Letter of the Republic of Indonesia No. I / PMA / 1983 dated April 12, 1983. At the time of its establishment, PT KKA was designated as a Foreign Investment Company (PMA). In its development, on April 19, 1985, the status of PT KKA was changed to Domestic Investment (PMDN), which was marked by the release of ownership of Georgia Pacific International Corporation USA. The largest shareholder of PT KKA is held by the Government of Indonesia, amounting to 96.67%, while the remaining 3.33% is held by PT Alas Helau. PT KKA has a factory with an installed capacity of 135,000 tons per year built in Lhokseumawe industrial area, about 30 km from Lhokseumawe city, North Aceh.
