Orchids and Mushrooms: My Actifit Report Card: June 28 2020
Lazy start to the day with a late brunch. Pushed to go for a late walk. Was keen to check out tracks into the bush south of here. Was too hard. Decided to check the south side of our local creek.
Nodding greenhood still flowering from last visit. Scrabbled around below and saw this flash of blue
This mushroom is smaller than a penny
This cluster of three
Offers a good underside view
Birds were active - at least 2 pairs feasting away. Brown cuckoo doves.
Never seen a mushroom like this. The dome shape gets them pushing through the soil and the leaf litter
Found a new cluster of orchid leaves with a flower spike still forming. Cannot ID just yet - new location
A day for mushrooms - orange
Black and brown
This orange one in a field of moss right in front of a funnel web spider home
Why stop here in the moss house? First sighting on this side of acianthus caudatus - mayfly orchid
This one a little more advanced - maybe a week to flowering
More orange mushrooms
With this one clinging to a fallen log.
Did spend time putting together a new promotion on how to get properly prepared for these challenging times
Dinner: Tapas with a mix of Spanish, American, Chinese and Japanese
