I’ve always wanted to go to the Philippines eat pineapples and see what 1 8th of my genetic make up is like, my great grandparents on me mums side were apparently from there! I’m a bit of a mixed bread German, South African and Chinese too!

I’m with you on that, I’m pretty minimalist myself don’t need much to be happy! Cape Town is the most expensive city in South Africa so buying a home is tough!
If I had to do it with steem I’d have to move in country! Not really tied to this place I’d live anywhere as long as it’s affordable and theirs fast internet so I can earn an income!

hahahha! If you want to buy a house, you could consider moving here in the Philippines. I dunno much about taxes and shit, but from what I've heard from Americans and Canadians moving here, they think our country is an ideal place to retire because converting your money to Philippine peso you'll become rich here. Then we don't have high taxes compared to other countries. Houses are pretty inexpensive.. Of course it's different if you work in the Philippines because of the minimum wage and stuff, but if working online and earning foreign currencies is gonna be your advantage. I'd say we don't have the best internet at the moment but it is good enough to be able to work online!
You had me at sweetest pineapples I’m a sucker for pineapples and mangoes! I checked the exchange rate it’s 3 pesos for 1 rand which isn’t bad at all I can see why Americans and Canadians would have a ball of a time there
I looked at some housing prices now too, some stunning modern places for affordable prices like one could buy cash! I’m shook, I’ll have to more research! Our internet sucks too and it’s pretty darn expensive
