Enjoying the simplier delights - My Actifit Report Card: April 5 2019

Good evening steemians!
Oh my goodness 😍 this Friday feels like it's been loong over due! XD

Did I complete my homework? Did I accept a new job? Did I magically fix the systems? Did I somehow persuade and make new allies and prevent the invasion of Earth?! Lesigh, No, I haven't accomplished such things. But life would certainly be interesting if any of that did happen.

I wish I knew where this image is from but she totally reflects me!!

Today was a relaxed day. I was extremely tired fussing about the servers and pawing workstations from the week. So setting up backup batteries in everyone's office or almost everyone's office was a fresh change. Despite having to coordinate with all the staff members so their data isn't lost or corrupted. Shruggie. Gift of the Magi. Like giving a battery backup to stop them from losing data by losing data in the process of setting up the backup hehehe 😁

Supervisor had to tell me to chill while I was so eagered.

It was kind of nice playing with new 3D printers. Kind of crazy they're wireless now and can print objects via Bluetooth and WiFi or over the internet of all things O.o sadly that's a project for another day.

After work it got very interesting. I think since Tuesday I was very excited to have dinner with coworkers. Found a little Mexican restaurant called Los Tacos in Plantation Florida. They were having a happy hour with 2 for 1 margaritas. They were extremely deceptive. I can't believe how tipsy I got after 1.25 glasses. And after the second glass supervisor gave me 2 beers, Modelo Negras. Dark beers, German beers oh so good. After all of that I was soooooo gone. But as I was drinking I was spreading the word of crypto, what I was most excited about and what trades and moves I was most interested in. And what coins I thought was interesting to mine. As for noms. Home made salsa and chips always a classic choice 😋 I had a steak burrito with pico de gallo, potatoes with extra chips and showered in white queso sauce. Absolutely sinful for a vegan but today… today is a cheat day XD

I really appreciated spending time with coworkers and supervisor outside of work and discussing personal interests and where we're going and where we've gone and how we complemented each other for better or worse. Bumping heads and not sharing things we want to hear but we need to hear. It was an interesting dynamic, I don't think I would have gotten that anywhere else but from working there.

My supervisor is right, it'll be bittersweet leaving but I need too. They need too as well.

For today's music I was listening to a playlist of Portal series and FTL. But my coworker started to play the soundtrack of Risk of Ruin. I'm not sure how common is the game or how popular it is. And apparently there's a sequel. The soundtrack is an hour long and is arranged quite nicely!

Anywho. It's almost midnight and I still need to get to my homework. Have a good night everyone!

I love the anime images you always post! I find this one especially appealing. <3

Sounds like you had a fun much needed outting. Maybe we'll see some of your friends start blogs on here and earn some crypto!

3D printer prices are coming way down. I might buy one for a $200 price point. Let us know how they work out please. :)

^0^ I'm glad you enjoy the anime pictures! It's amusing trying to find the most fitting for the blog post.

So far I got 3 coworkers on to Steemit but they're not super eagered to post. creating an account and slowly building it up tests your determination.

So far this 3D printer is quite tricky. It's simple to use and I'm glad it came prebuilt. So far we're trying to find the right calibration to level the heating plate and nozzle. It starts printing well but the flow and heating needs tweaking.

My first 3D printer was open source from reprap

But I was too confident and never had the spare time to build the kit. Now it's sitting the closet unused ^o^" the neat thing about reprap is you can add upgrades and 3D print upgrades.

I've heard about that reprap printer. I think I'm looking for something pre-built. Also looking to get a new computer with a decent graphics card for mining. Could be a 1060 or maybe a 2070 if I want to spring for more money. I'll probably just use nicehash so I have to find some table that shows hash rates for popular video cards.

Anyway, thanks for your informative reply! ❤

Check out https://www.buriedone.com/gpu-hashrates
He shows the expected hashrate of current cards

And
https://www.bitsbetrippin.io
Is currently doing testing on all cards benchmarking for when Ethereum switches to ProgPOW.

I've been mining with Nicehash since Asics hit the equihash algorithm. So far I'm enjoying the stable income. If only difficulty would go down -_-

Thanks for all this excellent info!!! Mucho appreciated! :D

It's amazing how you do so much and still don't faint. I, on the other hand, was too overworked that I fainted on my birthday week. XD

I wish I can drink margaritas and beer someday and get tipsy. Possible if I move states, it's more accessible in some states. In my state, the most you get is wine in 3+ star hotels.

I would love to get my hands on a 3D printer. I'll have fun for hours.

These are the new 3D Printers we got for less than 200$

It's supposed to be cheap and replaceable in case they get messed up in transport or an event. So I can't guarantee the accuracy and reliability but a 3D printer can print upgrade parts to make a better 3D printer

There is no fainting only powering up! :D and breaking our limits. Hopefully without breaking our mind and body o.o' you may have went beyond your limits and got overstressed to where it was affecting you physically. I admit as deadlines get closer it's Soo hard to take time and recover. It just adds more stress. But you need to schedule time for self care. It can't be ignored.

If you get tipsy make sure to have company so they take care of driving and hang around while you snapped out of it. I was definitely wobbling and my face felt numb XD
